Hey all. anyone know anything good to use besides sam encoders? i tried sam broadcaster and wasn't pleased with it. Thank you.

p.s i need something that you can set it to stop encoding at a certain time because sometimes i do broadcasts from my laptop and want to keep using the desktop as a server. thank you.

You could all ways use the shoutcast plugins.
If so I reccommend the older one since you can do things with it like archiving and all that.
Station Playlist is another one that comes to mind.
Other then that the only other ones I can think of are some other ones that the sam broadcaster site has like DRS and stuff.
There a couple others but I can't think of what they are right now.

Or, you can use good old Oddcast, which, for broadcasting, is pretty much state of the art. Take a look, see if it helps you.
